Alabama Environmental Council will host the fifth POWER-UP Forum on February 28, 2017 to continue expanding its energy activities. This year’s theme is:  Resiliency, Climate and Energy in Uncertain Times. AEC engages citizens in working toward sustainable policies and opportunities to meet Alabamians’ current energy needs. Our work promotes stewardship of the environment without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

What to expect: In these uncertain times, solutions for climate and clean energy must make progress at the local level. Join us for…

  • Speakers on city resiliency, renewables and energy efficiency, who have moved the solutions forward in Alabama and Georgia
  • Panels of Alabama institutions, advocates and customers with perspectives on financing and delivering efficiency services and renewable energy, especially solar
  • Opportunities for table discussion and sharing your experience with the larger group, networking and connecting with exhibitors and potential customers
  • Who should Attend: cities, energy consumers and providers, businesses involved in renewable energy or energy efficiency, customers with or considering solar installations, and students, organizations and individuals learning & sharing success stories
